Members of the Horn of Plenty FFA chapter at Greene County High School won awards in FFA competition at the Iowa State Fair.
In the FFA horse show on Aug. 16 Wade Wuebker showed the champion in the 2- to 5-year old walk trot class and Bailey Godwin showed the champion in the pony western pleasure class. Godwin also showed the reserve champion in the pony breeds class.
Greene County placed fourth in the equestrian team award.
Abby Badger of rural Jefferson showed the reserve champion Berkshire gilt in the FFA breeding swine show Aug. 17 at the Iowa State Fair.
Badger also showed the reserve champion Charolais market steer during the 4-H Parade of Champions at the State Fair Aug. 16.
